Judy Golan provides investigative research of family histories, specializing in the region of Eastern Europe. A marketing professional, she successfully maps her analytical strengths and skills derived from competitive business marketing onto her passion for Jewish ancestry search. She was awarded the IIJG Tagger 2nd Prize 2015 for her paper, “Reading Between the Lines: Mining Jewish History Through Extraction of Polish Archive Data.”
Judy received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University, an MBA from UCLA, and has worked for several years as a marketing executive and consultant.
Based in Israel, Judy devotes extensive volunteer time to translating vital data from 19th century Polish archive records for Jewish Records Indexing–Poland. She is the Town Leader for several Polish towns and was appointed Area Coordinator for the Kielce, Radom and Sandomierz regions.
